He tried to bring progress in Iraq to the front. He said that the surge is working. He talked about the economy. As well as how bills got passed in congress (earmarks). He also said a little bit about the Housing Crisis in this country. He didn’t make any major misspeaks at least that I noticed. He even got a few laughs.

However, the Democratic Response this year I found to be VERY WEAK. She almost seemed to be pleading with Bush for him to work with them. She tried to make a independent response, and I feel failed. She also talked about many issues. Take a read, tell me what you think.

It was an interesting year for the State of the Union.
